Easter EGGStravaganza

Community Garage Sale/Sandwich Day

Turn your junk into cash! Clean out your closets, get rid of the stuff collecting in your garage — bring it to the community garage sale. Plus you can enjoy the Longville Firemen’s famous sandwiches and a piece of pie (or a whole one if you want to take one home) from the Chamber’s pie sale.

5-7 p.m. Free musical performance featuring the folky-tonk guitar/fiddle duo of Pushing Chain, held outdoors in the gazebo on the park-like grounds of Salem Lutheran Church. Bring a picnic dinner, a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the music. Plenty of parking and there’s even a playground for the kids.

4th of July

July 4th, 2017
We celebrate Independence Day on the actual 4th of July, so come and enjoy the parade, food and all-day fun, right in downtown Longville. At dusk, Longville’s spectacular fireworks display will take place over Girl Lake.

Oktoberfest in Longville

Oktoberfest all day!

11 a.m.-2 p.m. – German food and and the Chamber’s pie sale at the Docksider parking lot. German beer and wines indoors.

5-11 p.m. – German Dinner and Dance, with games and contests, at the Longville Fire Hall.

Halloween “SPOOKtacular”

5:30-7 p.m. Free and safe trick-or-treating fun at Camp Olson YMCA. Halloween games and treats sponsored by Camp Olson and the Chamber of Commerce.

Christmas Tree Lighting

November 25, 2017
4-6 p.m.  Downtown, free and always the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Enjoy horse-and-wagon rides, a bonfire, hotdogs and cookies and Christmas carols. Sponsored by the Longville Chamber.

Ice Bocce

February 3, 2018
Always the first Saturday in February, the annual Ice Bocce Tournament features hot competition on the cold, cold ice of Girl Lake. People come from all across the state to take part in this fun winter-time event. Held in front of Patrick’s, the scene is full of funny costumes, competitive Bocce games, and good times — close enough for the warmth, good food and drinks right inside Patrick’s.

Winter Fireworks

Send winter packing in style! Get the whole crew together for a fun day in Longville. The festivities start at the Docksider bar with a chili cook-off that will keep your taste buds happy until the lakes finally thaw. After that, make the short trip over to Girl Lake for a fireworks display that will leave you dazzled.
