Fishing
The fishing stories that add to the history of our lakes are legendary. But pictures and tales tell only part of the story. Our lakes have a long history of exceptional fishing that can only be truely understood by experiencing them yourself.
Boating
Longville is surrounded by many beautiful lakes of various sizes and terrains. No matter what size boat you have there is a place for you. Fishing, Water skiing, Jet skiing, Cruising, Sightseeing, Photograpy; our lakes offer the best in outdoor playgrounds.
Canoeing
From the beginner to the expert, the canoe routes around Longville are some of the best available in Minnesota. The Boy River Route offers the adventurer the opportunity to see eagles, deer, a variety of fish, otter, mink, fisher, beaver, bear, wolves, grouse and many more native animals.
Lakes
Up North encompasses nearly 60 lakes and the central town of Longville. Still beautiful and unspoiled, still quiet and uncrowded, this area provides some of the best recreational opportunities in the State.
Bike TrailBiking & Hiking Trails
There are 100+ miles of Paved trails for Bikers, In-line Skaters and Hikers. Sixty miles of paved bike trail makes the Paul Bunyan Trail one of the best in Minnesota. When completed it will stretch 100 miles from Brainerd in the South to Lake Bemidji State Park in the North.
Golf
Longville's own 27 hole public golf course and country club at Ridgewood Golf Course. We provide a driving range, practice green, golf cart rentals and annual memberships. Birdies Miniature Golf & Water Wars, Longville's newest attraction. Open Daily at 11 AM. 19 holes of Mini Golf, within walking distance from Frostys!! On the Main Street of Longville, across the street from Woodland Bank.
Hunting
Deer, Bear, Grouse, Ducks, Geese and much more are available for hunting in season. Need a place to stay? Check out "Lodging" for the facilities open during hunting season.
Wildlife
Wildlife is ever present in the Longville lakes area. You never have to go far to take a picture of one of this area's abundant wildlife. Keep a lookout for deer and fox as you drive the scenic roads.
Parks
Russ Nyvall Baseball Field, "Longvilles 'Field of Dreams" Located just off of County Rd 5, On County Rd 125. Adult Mixed Doubles Drop-In Tennis will be held from 9 to 11 AM each Monday and Friday. There is no cost. Adult players are invited to participate. Bring your own tennis racket and tennis shoes.
