Longville's Summerfest Celebration |
The Longville Lakes Arts Alliance, in cooperation with the Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will host the first Mardi Gras Festival, a community arts festival. The event will take place on the west end of Main Street, on grounds provided by Pat and Marilyn Tabaka. Three variety shows, showcasing local talent are scheduled for 10:30 am also at 1 & 3:30 pm. Iznette Productions is producing the shows. In the evening, from 6:30 to 10:30 pm, Steve Reiter's Cabin Fever band will perform music for the listening and dancing pleasure of attendees.
Other activities include artists and crafters displaying, demonstrating and selling their works from 10 am to 6 pm. Food will be available through various food vendors during the daytime hours. This Longville event is made possible by a Minnesota State Arts Festival Grant. Volunteer event workers are needed. Please sign up at the 'Gallery of New Creations' in downtown Longville. |
