WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS AT EVENTS, SO PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP in the comment section below.
The “Global 6K for Water” is organized through World Vision, and we will be joining runners all over the world for this important cause.
Every entry provides clean water for one person for an entire generation. The distance will be 6K, which is the average distance a person, usually a woman or child, must walk to obtain water. This water, although necessary, is often contaminated and makes them sick. Once access to clean water is provided in an area, the mortality rate for children under 5 years old drops by half.
The run will start with REGISTRATION at Empowered Fitness at 9:00 a.m., and the Race begins at 10:00 a.m. We will go down Hwy 5, and end back at Empowered Fitness.
Each entry includes a t-shirt, medal, and a race bib with the photo of a child who will receive water because of that entry.
JOIN THE EMPOWERED FITNESS TEAM ($5000 Goal / Adult $50 Donation – Children $25) – Registration is available now at the following link: TEAM WORLD VISION
