Member Spotlight: Little Boy Resort & Campground

For more than two decades, Little Boy Resort has been welcoming guests to the lakeside charm of Longville. What started as a dream 23 years ago has grown into a beloved destination for families, campers, locals, and travelers from across the country.

The resort’s owners were inspired by Troy’s grandparents, who once owned a resort themselves. Carrying on that legacy, they created a place where people could relax, connect, and experience the beauty of northern Minnesota.

Today, Little Boy Resort offers a variety of accommodations including cozy cabin rentals, RV and tent camping sites, and seasonal RV sites. In 2022, the resort expanded with a brand-new lodge that introduced a new highlight for the area — the waterfront Front Porch Tavern. The bar and restaurant is open to the public and has quickly become a favorite gathering spot for guests, locals, and boaters looking to enjoy good food, drinks, and lake views.

Being part of the community has always been important to the owners. Joining the Longville Area Chamber of Commerce allows them to stay connected to the town and support the shared goal of helping local businesses thrive while welcoming visitors to the area.

The owners say one of their favorite parts of running the resort is seeing the joy a small town like Longville can bring to so many people from all over the country.
