Stuart Memorial Community Park
The Stuart Community Park sits on 10 acres of land that is south on Highway 84, on the edge of the city of Longville. It serves 8 townships and welcomes all individuals who wish to enjoy our area. It is organized by the Longville Park and Recreation Committee, members of designated groups and supported by local townships. All areas of the park are run by volunteers from around the area.
There is a shed on the property that houses basketballs, shuffle board equipment, corn hole bags, tennis balls and racks, pickle ball equipment, volleyball net, volleyball and racks and other miscellaneous equipment so everyone can enjoy the facility. There are 2 bathrooms that can accommodate a wheelchair and has a changing station in one. The community park committee requests if any damage, something needs attention or missing, please contact the city hall at 218-363-2022

Playground
The playground was developed in 2012 by the Park and Recreation Committee. It has several pieces of equipment that have been added throughout the following years, until May 2025 when the playground received a large facelift and adaptive equipment was added to ensure all feel welcomed to our area. Some of the equipment that included are baby swings, ADA swing, ADA merry-go-round, sensory panels, slide unit, balance beam, and more. The playground is equipped with PIP (poured in place) for easy access for all who may have mobility concerns.
A safety boarder was installed around the outside to ensure safety for all. One picnic table and 3 benches are available throughout the playground. The Playground serves children of all ages and abilities. It encourages all to come enjoy this family oriented activity.
Ice Skating Rink
The Longville Community Skating Rink was first built in 1998, but was upgraded to its present location in the summer 2013. A Zamiboni was added the Spring of 2014, which helps with keeping the ice smooth and clean. Lights were added later that year and a hockey boards. The ice skating rink is open Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm Saturdays 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, weather permitting. The rink provides a warming house, varies sizes of skates, hockey sticks and pucks at no cost. There are also hockey nets on the ice. The warming house is staffed and is willing to help with any questions. The skating rink is funded by donations. Stuart Park has two newly surfaced hardcourt tennis courts and a backboard for practice. The Longville Tennis Association meets three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (weather permitting). Our usual hours are 9-11 a.m. during the summer months and it is a drop-in group. No sign-up. We start playing mid-May and may have different hours (due to cold) and wrap up the season about mid-October.
We have about 25 active members, and our dues are $30 for the season, which includes balls and upkeep of courts. We invite any interested new tennis players to drop in and get to know our friendly group. You can find current info on Facebook @ Longville Tennis Association. We also have a beach tennis group that plays at the volleyball courts next to Stuart Pavilion on Thursdays and would love to see new faces!! Check Facebook for times. Horseshoes
There are several horseshoe pits by the pickleball courts to challenge your friends. The horseshoes can be found in the storage shed.

Sand Volleyball Court
There is one sand volleyball court. Anyone is welcome to use the court and net as long as there is not a community event. Volleyballs and nets are available in the supply shed in the back of the parking lot, at no cost, and are asked to be returned once you are finished.
Basketball Courts
There are basketball hoops inside the Pickleball courts. A basketball can be borrowed and is stored in the equipment shed by the playground. At this time, there are no leagues available. You are welcome to use the hoops as long as there is no one using the tennis courts.
Pickleball Courts
Longville has 6 pickleball courts located on the West side of Stuart Memorial Park. There are 3 dedicated courts to pickleball and 3 that are mixed use, pickleball and basketball. Equipment can be found in the shed near the playground. The shed at the pickleball courts is locked and solely used by the pickleball club.
Longville has a pickleball club of over 100 members. The club plays from 9-12 Monday through Saturday and 1-3 on Sundays. Club dues are $40 for the season. Season play roughly starts around May 1, sooner if the weather allows, and ends about October 1st, or later if the weather allows. Visitors can play for $5 cash every time they choose to play with the club. Park-style play or open play is expected outside club hours when people are waiting to play.

There are 2 grills outside the building, but the user needs to supply their own charcoal and lighter fluid. In case of inclement weather, there are large garage doors to enclose the building on 2 sides. There is also a corn hole board and shuffle board. The pavilion can be rented at any time for a small fee by contacting the city hall at 218-363-2022 during regular office hours.
